Description

ARP 260-4301 head studs are made for the Subaru FA20. Replacing the factory bolts with studs helps keep the head gasket sealed when the engine is running higher boost pressure or compression.

They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties better under heat than chrome-moly. Each stud is centerless ground after heat treatment to ensure it is perfectly concentric, allowing the gasket and cylinder head to seat in alignment, and the threads are rolled after heat treatment, which ARP states increases fatigue strength by twenty times.
