Description

ARP cylinder head stud kit for Subaru EJ20 EJ22 EJ25 SOHC, part number 260-4702. Replaces the stock head bolts with studs and nuts, a solution that distributes the load more evenly across the gasket and does not wear out the block threads every time the cylinder head is removed.

They are manufactured from ARP2000, an ARP-proprietary alloy that reaches a tensile strength of about 220,000 psi and maintains its properties under heat better than chrome-moly. ARP precision-grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure straightness and concentricity, and rolls the threads after heat treatment; this achieves a fatigue strength approximately twenty times greater than that of threads cut before heat treatment.
