This ARP 271-4301 kit replaces the Suzuki M16A cylinder head bolts with studs. It is one of the first upgrades made to an engine that is going to have its power increased, as the head gasket is one of the first points to fail.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi tensile strength and maintains its properties better than chrome-moly at high temperatures. ARP grinds each stud after heat treatment to ensure it is straight and concentric, and rolls the threads at the end of the process; this achieves a fatigue strength about twenty times greater than that of a thread made before heat treatment.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values, and use their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
