ARP 204-6303 connecting rod bolt kit for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda VAG 2.0L FSI and TFSI engines. In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the industry standard for this part.
They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches a tensile strength of approximately 220,000 psi and maintains its properties under temperature better than chrome-moly. ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0070 and 0.0075 inches, with a target torque of 39 lb-ft (approx. 53 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
