Description

ARP 151-5406 main studs are for the Ford 2.0L Zetec (92-97) and replace the stock main cap bolts.

With studs, the main caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under high load, and the block threads no longer suffer during each assembly. The kit includes hardened, parallel-ground washers and nuts. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil changes the actual torque. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
