Description

With this ARP 201-5002 kit, the main bearing caps of the BMW M3 E46 (S54B32) are secured with studs instead of bolts.

With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under heavy load, and the block threads no longer undergo stress during each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with a different lubricant, the load applied to each part will not be the same. Not sure which version your engine is? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
