Description

With this ARP 202-5402 kit, the main caps of the Nissan SR20DE(T) and SR20VE(T) are secured with studs instead of bolts.

With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under high load, and the block threads no longer suffer during each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil changes the actual torque. If you have questions about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
