The ARP 202-5803 main studs are for the Nissan YD25DDTi and replace the stock main cap bolts.
Their function is to prevent the main caps from moving or rubbing against the block at high RPM, and they also protect the block threads. They come with their own hardened and ground nuts and washers. They are manufactured from ARP2000, a proprietary ARP alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi tensile strength and maintains its properties better under heat than chrome-moly.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you verify it.
