With this ARP 203-5402 kit, the Toyota 7M-GTE (2-Bolt) main caps are secured with studs instead of bolts.
Its function is to prevent the main caps from moving or rubbing against the block at high RPMs, and it also protects the block threads. They come with their own hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values, and use their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you verify it.
