ARP main stud kit for the Toyota 4A-GE 16v and 20v, part number 203-5403. These replace the bolts that secure the crankshaft main bearing caps.
Their purpose is to prevent the main bearing caps from shifting or rubbing against the block at high RPMs, and they also protect the block threads. They come with their own hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.
Use ARP assembly lubricant and their specified torque values, as the load received by each part will differ with any other lubricant. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you check it.
