Description

ARP main stud kit for the Toyota 2ZZ-GE, part number 203-5407. These replace the bolts that secure the crankshaft main bearing caps.

With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under high load, and the block threads no longer suffer during each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Follow the torque specifications and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque.
