With this ARP 203-5408 kit, the Toyota 1NZ-FE main caps are secured with studs instead of bolts.
With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under high load, and the block threads no longer suffer with each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. They are made from ARP2000, an ARP proprietary alloy that reaches approximately 220,000 psi tensile strength and maintains its properties under temperature better than chrome-moly.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
