Description

ARP 204-5407 main studs are for the Porsche 911 930 - 2.0L and 2.7L and replace the stock main bearing cap bolts.

With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under heavy load, and the threads in the block are no longer subject to wear with each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chromoly treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using motor oil changes the actual torque. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
