Description

The ARP 204-5409 main studs are for the Audi 5 Cyl. 2.2L 20V (1996+) and replace the stock main bearing cap bolts.

Their purpose is to prevent the main bearing caps from shifting or rubbing against the block at high RPMs, while also protecting the block threads. They come with their own hardened and ground washers and nuts. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with the threads rolled after heat treatment.
