ARP main stud kit for the BMC A-Series, part number 206-5401. These replace the bolts that secure the crankshaft main bearing caps.
In a tuned engine, main caps tend to move under load; studs prevent this and keep the engine block threads in good condition. Includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values, and use their assembly lubricant, as the specified torque settings are designed for it. If you have any doubts about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, please write to us with your engine code and year.
