Description

With this ARP 206-5403 kit, the main bearing caps of the BMC B-Series (5 studs) are secured with studs instead of bolts.

Their purpose is to prevent the main bearing caps from moving or rubbing against the block at high RPMs, and they also protect the block threads. They come with their hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel treated to 190,000 psi, with the threads rolled after heat treatment.

Use ARP's assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with any other lubricant, the load received by each part will not be the same. Not sure which version of your engine you have? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
