Description

With this ARP 209-5401 kit, the main bearing caps of the Opel 2.0L 16V (except Z20LET) are secured with studs instead of bolts.

With studs, the caps do not shift or rub against the block when the engine is under high load, and the block threads no longer suffer during each assembly. The kit includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel, heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values, and use their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
