The ARP 209-5402 main studs are for the Opel 2.5L V6 and replace the stock main cap bolts.
In a performance engine, main caps tend to move under load; the studs prevent this and keep the engine block threads in good condition. Includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with the threads rolled after heat treatment.
Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with any other lubricant the preload on each part will not be the same. If you are unsure if this is the right part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
