Description

ARP 218-5402 main studs are for the 2.0L and 2.3L 16V DOHC Mazda (2003+) and replace the stock main cap bolts.

In a performance engine, main caps tend to walk under load; studs prevent this and keep the engine block threads in good condition. Includes hardened and ground nuts and washers. ARP manufactures them from 8740 chrome-moly steel heat-treated to 190,000 psi, with threads rolled after heat treatment.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and torque values using their assembly lubricant, as the specified torque values are designed for it. If you have any questions about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, please write to us with your engine code and year.
