The ARP 206-6002 connecting rod bolts are for the 11/32" BMC B-Series. Changing them is almost mandatory when opening up an engine that will be running with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 35 lb-ft (about 47 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual torque changes. If you have questions about whether this is the right part for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
