ARP 206-6001 connecting rod bolts are for the 3/8" BMC A-Series. Replacing them is practically mandatory when opening an engine that will be running with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 55 lb-ft (about 75 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Use ARP's assembly lubricant and their torque specs, because with any other lubricant the load received by each part is not the same. If you have any doubts about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
