ARP 206-6003 connecting rod bolts are for the 3/8" BMC B-Series (18GB and 18GF 64-68). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening up an engine that will be running higher power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 45 lb-ft (about 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, because the torque specs they indicate are designed for it. If you have any questions about whether this is the right part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
