ARP 201-6104 connecting rod bolt kit for the BMW M3 E30 2.3L S14B23 and 2.5L S14B25 (M11 x 41 mm). In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.
ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 70 lb-ft (about 95 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
