Description

ARP 109-6002 connecting rod bolts are for the Opel 1.4L and 1.6L 8V (M8) (M8). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will work with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0050 and 0.0055 inches, with a reference torque of 24 lb-ft (about 33 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
