Description

ARP 206-6008 connecting rod bolts are for the Mini Cooper 1.6L Supercharged and N/A (W10/W11 02-08 M8 x 43 mm). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will be working with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.

ARP recommends installing them by monitoring stretch, between 0.0055 and 0.0060 inches, with a target torque of 25 lb-ft (about 34 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual torque changes. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
