Description

ARP connecting rod bolts for the 2.0L Ford Zetec (M9) (M9), part number 151-6005. The bolt is the weak point of a connecting rod, and these replace the factory ones with others that have much higher fatigue resistance.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0045 and 0.0050 inches, with a reference torque of 36 lb-ft (about 49 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Use ARP's assembly lubricant and their tightening values, because with any other lubricant the load received by each part is not the same. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
