ARP 204-6005 connecting rod bolts are for the Porsche 930 Turbo and 993 (M64). Changing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that is going to work with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0100 and 0.0105 inches, with a reference torque of 40 lb-ft (about 54 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, because the torque values they indicate are designed for it. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you check it.
