ARP 201-6201 connecting rod bolts are for the BMW M52B28 (M9 x 44 mm). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will run at higher power levels, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0070 and 0.0075 inches, with a reference torque of 40 lb-ft (about 54 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Use ARP's assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with any other lubricant the load received by each part will not be the same. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are not sure, we can help you verify it.
