Description

ARP connecting rod bolts for the BMW M3 E9X (S65B40 M9 x 45 mm), part number 201-6001. The bolt is the weak point of a connecting rod, and these replace the stock ones with much higher fatigue resistance.

ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0075 and 0.0080 inches, with a target torque of 60 lb-ft (approx. 81 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched more than one thousandth of an inch.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and values using their assembly lubricant, as the torque specs provided are designed for it. If you have any doubts about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, please write to us with your engine code and year.
