ARP connecting rod bolts for the BMW 2.5L E30 E34 E36 E39 (M20B25 M50B25(TU) M52B25 M9 x 53 mm) (M20), part number 201-6301. The bolt is the weak point of a connecting rod, and these replace the stock ones with others that have much higher fatigue resistance.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0080 and 0.0085 inches, with a reference torque of 36 lb-ft (about 49 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque values, because with another lubricant the load each part receives is not the same. If you have doubts about whether this is the part number for your engine, write to us with the engine code and year.
