ARP 104-6002 connecting rod bolts are for the Peugeot TU. Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will be running with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a target torque of 40 lb-ft (about 54 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, because the torque specs they indicate are designed for it. If you have any doubts about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with the engine code and year.
