ARP 104-6006 connecting rod bolt kit for the Porsche Type IV 1.7L and 2.0L. In a connecting rod, the first thing that gives way when the engine revs or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the industry standard for this part.
ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0055 and 0.0060 inches, with a target torque of 40 lb-ft (approx. 54 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has undergone permanent deformation of more than one thousandth of an inch.
Use ARP assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, as the load received by each part will differ with other lubricants. Before ordering, confirm your engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
