ARP 116-6001 connecting rod bolts are for the Renault R12 Gordini and Alpine (807G). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will be running at higher power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0045 and 0.0050 inches, with a reference torque of 36 lb-ft (about 49 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
