ARP 126-6101 connecting rod bolt kit for the Alfa Romeo 2.0L GTV. In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power is increased is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.
ARP recommends installing them by measuring stretch, between 0.0075 and 0.0080 inches, with a reference torque of 45 lb-ft (about 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual clamping force changes.
