ARP 146-6001 connecting rod bolts are for the Jeep 4.0L engine. Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening up an engine that will be running higher power, as the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by monitoring rod bolt stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 45 lb-ft (about 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than a thousandth of an inch.
