Description

ARP 152-6001 connecting rod bolt kit for the Ford 240-300 CID. In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when an engine gains RPM or power is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0060 and 0.0065 inches, with a target torque of 50 lb-ft (about 68 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Use ARP's assembly lubricant and their torque specifications, because with any other lubricant, the load received by each part is not the same. If you have any doubts about whether this is the right part number for your engine, write to us with the engine code and year.
