ARP 152-6002 connecting rod bolts are for the Ford 6 Cyl. 4.9L. Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will be running higher power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0060 and 0.0065 inches, with a reference torque of 50 lb-ft (about 68 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
