ARP 153-6002 connecting rod bolt kit for the 3.8L Ford Super Coupe T-Bird. In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0060 and 0.0065 inches, with a guide torque of 40 lb-ft (about 54 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
