ARP 201-6304 connecting rod bolt kit for the BMW M10 1.5L and 2.0L. In a connecting rod, the first thing that fails when engine RPM or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0075 and 0.0080 inches, with a reference torque of 50 lb-ft (about 68 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
