ARP 202-6101 connecting rod bolt kit for the Nissan VR38DETT. In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when the engine is revved or power is increased is the bolt, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.
They are manufactured from Custom Age 625+, a superalloy with a typical tensile strength of 260,000 to 280,000 psi, highly resistant to fatigue and corrosion. ARP recommends installing them by measuring bolt stretch, between 0.0090 and 0.0095 inches, with a target torque of 60 lb-ft (approx. 81 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched more than one thousandth of an inch.
