ARP 203-6302 connecting rod bolts are for the Toyota 4U-GSE. Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will be running at higher power, as the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.
ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 60 lb-ft (about 81 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; using engine oil will change the actual torque. If you are unsure if this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
