Description

ARP connecting rod bolts for the Triumph Spitfire 1.3L and 1.5L, part number 206-6004. The bolt is the weak point of a connecting rod, and these replace the stock ones with others having much higher fatigue resistance.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a target torque of 45 lb-ft (approx. 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Tighten following ARP's sequence and values and using their assembly lubricant, as the torque figures provided are designed for it. If you have any doubts about whether this is the correct part number for your engine, write to us with your engine code and year.
