Description

The ARP 206-6009 connecting rod bolts are for the BMC Bonneville 650cc (Bike 56-72). Replacing them is almost mandatory when opening an engine that will work with more power, because the stock bolt is the first thing to fail.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 32 lb-ft (about 43 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched more than one thousandth of an inch.

Respect the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual tightening changes. Not sure about your engine version? Send us the code and we will confirm the part number.
