ARP 251-6202 connecting rod bolt kit for the Ford 1.8L Duratec. In a connecting rod, the bolt is the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power increases, and ARP is the benchmark for this part.

ARP recommends installing them by monitoring stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a reference torque of 45 lb-ft (approx. 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.

Follow the torque and tightening sequence in the ARP instructions, which are calculated for their assembly lubricant; with engine oil, the actual torque changes. Before ordering, confirm the engine code; if you are unsure, we can help you verify it.
