ARP 251-6402 connecting rod bolt kit for the Ford Pinto 2300cc (Pro Wave ARP 2000). In a connecting rod, the first thing to fail when engine RPM or power increases is the bolt, and ARP is the industry standard for this part.
ARP recommends installing them by measuring bolt stretch, between 0.0065 and 0.0070 inches, with a target torque of 45 lb-ft (approx. 61 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
