Description

ARP connecting rod bolts for the Volkswagen 2.0L FSI and TFSI, part number 204-6302. The bolt is the weak point of a connecting rod, and these replace the stock ones with others having much higher fatigue resistance.

ARP recommends installing them by checking the stretch, between 0.0070 and 0.0075 inches, with a guide torque of 30 lb-ft (about 41 Nm) using their lubricant. It is advisable to measure the stretch of each bolt and replace it if it has been permanently stretched by more than one thousandth of an inch.
