BC Racing BR Series BMW E36 Compact RWD (94-00)

The BR Series is BC Racing's best-selling coilover and the logical first step when moving away from stock suspension. Each kit is tuned for the specific vehicle it is manufactured for, seeking a balance that withstands daily use without falling short on a track day. It features a 46mm piston in a 53mm body, a combination that increases oil capacity and ensures the shock absorber takes longer to lose consistency. The adjustment offers 30 clicks that simultaneously tune compression and rebound.

The front features pillowball mounts, with camber adjustment depending on the application, and the rear features rubber mounts or no mount, depending on the application. The front axle supports camber and caster adjustment, which is not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

There are 22 spring rate combinations available, including Extra Low configurations. The one BC Racing defines as standard for this car is 5/8 kg/mm.

Before buying

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and on some chassis, they transmit a slight knocking noise into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
