Description

The DS Series is based on the same foundation as the BR but replaces the valve with a digressive one, which gears it towards track use. It is adjusted with 30 clicks that act simultaneously on both compression and rebound, and the shock absorber body comes in satin chrome. A digressive valve does not provide the same damping at all speeds: when the rod moves slowly, such as during braking or cornering, it offers high resistance and keeps the chassis flat; when the movement is rapid, such as when hitting a curb, it opens to allow the wheel to travel upward without transmitting the full impact.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW 3 Series F31 RWD/xDrive (12-19) (3-bolt top mount). Weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-114-DS-DA.

The front axle supports camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
