Description

The DS Series is based on the same foundation as the BR but replaces the valve with a digressive one, which leans it more towards track use. It is adjusted via 30 clicks that act simultaneously on compression and rebound, and the shock absorber body features a satin chrome finish. A digressive valve does not provide the same damping at all speeds: when the rod moves slowly, such as during braking or cornering, it offers high resistance and keeps the body flat; when the movement is fast, such as hitting a kerb, it opens up and allows the wheel to rise without transmitting the full impact.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW 5 Series F10 Sedan RWD (10-17). Weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-16-DS-DS.

Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
