Description

The DS Series is based on the same foundation as the BR but replaces the valve with a digressive one, which gears it towards the track. It is adjusted with 30 clicks that act simultaneously on compression and rebound, and the shock absorber body features a satin chrome finish. A digressive valve does not provide the same damping at all speeds: when the piston rod moves slowly, such as during braking or cornering, it offers high resistance and keeps the body flat; when the movement is fast, such as when hitting a curb, it opens to let the wheel rise without transmitting the full impact.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW 6 Series F13 RWD (11-18). Weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-27-DS-DS.

The ride height is adjusted independently of the spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate, 11/5.5 kg/mm.
